Meet Pastor Bryant A. Rule

Pastor Bryant as he is affectionately called by his congregation was born the fifth child to the late Founder, Pastor Elder Emmitt Rule, Jr. and his lovely wife Mother Doris Rule.

On August 6, 1989, Pastor Bryant received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in an Evangelical Service at his home church Grace Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Harvey, Illinois.  That following year, Pastor Bryant married the love of his life sister Charlene Wilson on March 3, 1990.

In 1992 Pastor Bryant received his calling into the ministry.  On August 6, 1993, he was ordained an Elder of the Churches of God In Christ by Bishop Cody Vernon Marshall.  From the time forward, Pastor Bryant has been active doing the LORD’s work.  Among his many accomplishments he is Y.P.W.W. President of the Robert L. Dorris Memorial District and is Chairman of Finance for the Northern Illinois Jurisdiction Y.P.W.W. Department.  More importantly, Pastor Bryant is the proud, devoted father of five children.

Pastor Bryant has always had a deep love of GOD and for GOD’s people everywhere.  It was because of that love that he worked very closely with his father the late Pastor Elder Emmitt Rule, Jr. Whatever, his pastor asked of him, Pastor Bryant responded without hesitation.  He took pleasure in serving his pastor in whatever way that he could.  He never imagined that the day would come when his father and pastor would leave this Earth.  Pastor Bryant considers it a great privilege and humble honor that GOD laid on Pastor Emmitt Rule, Jr.’s heart to have him appointed pastor of Temple of Grace C.O.G.I.C. upon his departure,

GOD has truly blessed the church during these years though it has not been without tears, hard work, fasting, praying, trusting, and believing.  So we can all say today, “This is the LORD’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes!”

The LORD is doing it!
